Our TALK Greenville cocktailin’ adventure this month took us to a super-creative spot right on Main Street. Curean was conceived as a specialty charcuterie & wine establishment, but became much, much more! Their passion for handcrafted foods, wines and cocktails (yay!) is evident with every nibble & sip!

 

From nibble to nosh…

Vickie Zambrano, Curean Owner & Curator, uses her experience in the food industry and her family’s love of Mediterranean-inspired cuisine (a mix of Greek, Italian, Spanish, French, Portuguese & Moroccan influences) to bring the widest range of culinary options to the table. From the raw bar (oysters & beef tartare) to the “large plates” (Spanish Rabbit, Greek Baked Chicken…) the creativity is in high gear!

And the creativity most definitely extends to the offerings from “senior bartender” Breana behind the bar…

Dragoncello Reviver…

This magical elixir will jumpstart your tastebuds! Conniption Indigo Gin, sherry, Vicarious Dragoncello Liqueur, house-made thyme simple syrup, lemon, and butterfly pea come together to make the most mesmerizing summer sipper. Pretty in pink and dressed with fresh thyme and star anise, it’s as pretty to look at as it is to taste. And there’s a bonus, ladies! The James Beard Foundation is giving $1 for every Conniption gin cocktail sold in women-owned establishments (like Curean) to the Women’s Leadership Program to “close the gap” and tear down barriers to success! Another great reason to imbibe!!

Simpler Days…

There is no mocking this virgin cocktail…a beverage that is seriously full of flavor and spirit, despite the lack of “spirits”. Blood orange, honey simple syrup, spiced orange shrub, apple cider vinegar and egg white combine to create a sophisticated, smooth and velvety beverage that will have you feeling festive without the hangover.  Sometimes simpler is better…just sayin’!

Staying true to that original charcuterie & wine idea, Curean offers a build-your-own charcuterie bar with ALL the fixins. From the board itself to every imaginable option for the most beautiful & delicious bespoke display, it’s all there! Enjoy on-site or take it with you…they are happily at your service!
