We love a purchase to perk up our Monday…and we love sharing our recent obsessions with our belle-friends!!
A current obsession…this shoe in “of-the-moment blush”…
And while it’s on SALE…why not try a color for next season…
And for you local Greenville belles, and immediate gratification, MUSE has these…
This Rebecca Minkoff at Muse is perfect for now and later!
And this Vince Camuto (again, at Muse) features that “easy-on, easy-off” zipper…’cause sometimes a belle can get impatient with all those buckles!! Just sayin’
Obsessed yet? Nothin’ better than a purchase to kick off the week!!
big batch, brass, breakfast casserole, careergirldaily, choker, citusy, gin, holiday, how to not get fat suring the holidays, myrecipes, necklace, organizing made fun, pinterest, punch, sandals, shoplatitude, stories, three ingredient breakfast casserole, velvet shoes
A holiday punch to get you through the holidays.
A breakfast casserole that only needs 3 ingredients. Perfect to soak up that punch!
Instead of wringing someone else’s neck, just ring your own with this choker

For when it’s time to get steppin’.
Can y’all guess which ones we might have already purchased???
Sleek, sophisticated, classy…and the heel!!! This sandal is a must!!!
Great looking…and a great price to boot! These kicks are a great addition to any belle’s closet!
This cognac color is our new obsession. We can’t stop thinking about these beauties.
Y’all won’t feel like donkey’s a** in these mules !! Love the tassels!!
How about these grey, glamorous lovelies…and this is a great height to kick up your heels
We adore open toe booties….
My oh my, what do we have here??? No words!! These sandals make our hearts sing!!!
These belles will always make room for more foot candy in our closets…just sayin!
Being moms to a few teen-belles, we are always trying to come up with ways to help the little darlings organize their ever-expanding wardrobes. (not an easy task as the precious apples have not fallen far from the shop-a-holic-in-denial trees) Add to those expanding wardrobes the typical dis-organization of the typical teen and the fact that both of our homes were built in the early 1900’s (as in the pre-ready-to-wear-why-would-anyone-need-more-than-a-cubby-as-a-clothes-closet days!!)
So…when an organizational idea strikes, we implement with abandon! Take for instance the idea of using pretty coordinating baskets to store certain items in full view, freeing up some very valuable closet real estate. Take a look at these images for some inspiration…
Jeans work well in baskets because they are somewhat uniform in size and color, and can be folded in a way that allows the impatient prospective wearer to find what she needs at a moments notice
Sandals can be paired up in baskets…again, making it easier for the prospective wearer to find what she needs (much better than the pile in the dark closet)…
and Toms and other cute slip-ons work beautifully as well!
Bonus…if the teen happens to empty the jean basket as she tosses pair-after-pair aside in the getting-ready frenzy, (what…does it sound as though we speak from experience??), it is quite obvious to her upon her return to her chambre exactly where the jeans are to be re-placed (and the sooner the better…just sayin’)
Now, let’s not forget that these little organizational ah-ha’s don’t apply only to baskets and teen-belles. We can all take advantage of some of these ideas. Take, for example, one husband’s t-shirt drawer…
This particular husband tended to wear the same 2-3 t-shirts over and over while insisting that “someone” was “stealing” his favorites. Well, enter this brilliant idea (must give credit to a Pinterest pinner). Storing the shirts in the drawer with the shirt-front visible allows the husband to do a quick inventory…as often as he pleases…to be sure all of his beloved shirts are present and accounted for. Now everyone can rest peacefully 😉
We will share other organizational ideas in time…we need to give you belles time to implement these before we bombard you with more!!
One of the top fashion trends right now is the slim boyfriend jean. Cut to be comfortable but not absurdly baggy, they show off the feminine figure yet provide ease of wear…a great uniform pant that can be worn über casually chic or upgraded to a sexy on-the-go look. You can get them in just about any wash from super-distressed to clean and dark. One of the best features to us shoe obsessed belles is the cuffed or rolled leg that shows off your fashion forward footwear of the moment.
Frankly what’s not to like y’all? Well, nothing…except that you might want to invest in a pair and a spare! Because, dear belles, these babies will become such an important staple in your wardrobe that you will want to wear them every day! With two, one can be in the wash and the other on your ever-so-grateful body. (as much as we still love our skinnies, it sure is nice to breathe a little…)
So, following our own sound advice, we have purchased two great pair and are linking them below for your perusal. But you better be quick and pull the trigger before they are all gone. We don’t want you to miss the boat .
First up is a new brand to us that we found at our local boutique of choice, Savvy. What belle isn’t savvy inside and out right?!?! Savvy has a website, so you can purchase them here. Made by Mia and Moss, the style is Bennett.
Not only is this boyfriend a great price point ($99.00 !! Holla!!), they are super-stylish with just a hint of edge. The bit of pin-striping makes them fun while remaining neutral enough to wear with anything. Bonus…pocket placement is most flattering, belles. We suggest sizing down for the perfect skinny boyfriend fit as they will relax quite a bit.
Next up…a great pair from Anthropologie. These are the “relaxed knee” Hyphens from Pilcro and the Letterpress. Boy, oh, boyfriend are they awesome! Size-down a bit this time, too, belles, as these will relax with wear. Get them here
Now for the shoes…the options are almost endless!! In the photo above, is an open-toe bootie that won’t break the bank! We found these by Michael Shannon at our local Off Broadway for just around $70. For some online options, we thought these or these would do just the trick. Both are from Nordstrom .
We thought we’d go ahead and show y’all a few more cute options to wear with the boyfriends – to further prove that these are the jeans to have in your repertoire. But first, as a little side story, let us share with you what happens when you don’t pay attention to the four-legged belles. (In particular, the naughty baby one!)
We can thank our lucky stars that we caught her in the act before she completely took advantage of that delectable shoe!
Now on to the good stuff:
For a casual outing, try these Converse slip ons.
Available at Nordstrom these chic casuals are perfect weekend wear. Comfortable and slip-on…and they won’t make your feet look too large as they have 4 lace holes as opposed to 6. And yes, one of us belles happens to be blessed with double-digit-size feet.
Next up for a casual dinner, cocktails at the corner pub, or a little dash of city chic these animal print pumps are from J. Crew and they are 30% off!!
So take a walk on the wild side…sport an animal print shoe.
Our third look is a classic. Errands, lengthy promenades, lunch with the ladies, traveling and touring…a ballet flat is always a great go to option. These are older Tory Burch ones. They wear like iron and really are a value in the price-per-wear department.
Nordstrom has these on sale and we are awfully partial to these beauties.
Last, but certainly not least, is a shoe that is another spring trend: the kitten heel. Finally a shoe that can be worn all day, dressed up or down, and still remain feminine.
The ones in the photo are by Vince Camuto and are available online.
So, there you have it belles… And by the way, we can talk a blue streak too!
