We all know a tan makes you look thinner and masks the dreaded cellulite. But now that summer is becoming a distant memory, we need a way to hold onto that healthy glow!
While we still love you, St Tropez Everyday, we’ve discovered a new (to us) sunless tanner that works beautifully, isn’t orangey, and lasts for a good 7 days. While we don’t love the smell as you put it on, we soon forget the scent because it’s just that good!

Many years ago, a dear California friend gave us each a copy of the Junior League of Pasadena cookbook, Dining by Design…an oldie but a goodie!! We had several recipes which caught our eye all those years ago, but as other cookbooks, blogs, and influences came around, we moved on and forgot about some of our favorites…this one in particular!! We both served this to rave reviews for a couple of years. We think it’s time to bring it back!!!
“Amazing Bleu Cheese Appetizer”
12 oz bleu cheese, crumbled
4 cloves garlic, crushed
1/2 c olive oil
4 T red wine vinegar
2 T lemon juice
1 c chopped onion
1 c minced cilantro
Whisk garlic, oil, vinegar, and lemon juice to make a vinaigrette.
Combine bleu cheese, onion, and cilantro in large bowl
Pour vinaigrette over cheese mixture and gently toss to combine
Allow to marinate in refrigerator until ready to serve. Give a quick toss into a serving bowl or spread out on a platter.
Serve with sliced French bread or apple slices (or both)
Or get creative and use it on top of grilled beef or a salad
They say…even people who don’t like bleu cheese LOVE this!! We have witnessed this miracle first-hand!

And we are talking about the length of our charging cables you dirty birds…
We don’t know about y’all, but charging cables in our homes face two problems:
1) They are never long enough
2) They always disappear

Belles are foodies and love to cook, but we also love food finds that make our lives easier and tastier. We discovered this delectable concoction.

We served it over cream cheese alongside a variety of crackers. Celery would be a great low-carb option. Let us tell you…it was inhaled.
It is the perfect item to have for impromptu gatherings.
We also like the idea of jazzing up our grilled chicken with it or as a condiment with shrimp. The options are endless!

While at our recent TSC SUMMIT in Charleston, we had the pleasure and delight to meet so many creative, interesting and dynamic people. One such character was Brian Hoffman who has written an entertaining, tantalizing book that is very informative at the same time.
Since we drink for a living, our eyes glistened and our tastebuds were ready for little action.
For any cocktail lover, entertainer, book admirer, host or hostess, this is THE book that needs to be added to the repertoire. The Coupe. Just get it. You won’t regret it.

Not only is it a magical concoction but it is also a memorial to Ryan Kollar. He was a bartender that we had the honor of working with when we wrote our Bacon Brothers article. He was a true personality and had a genuine passion for the art of the cocktail.
